What We Support
Northern Utah Autism Program
The WHSF supports NUAP by providing financial resources for educational materials
and age and ability-appropriate developmental toys for the children in the program.
In addition, funds help purchase classroom supplies and technology-enhanced learning
devices. Specialized playground equipment is also a funding priority. If sufficient
funds are raised, the money will be used to hire additional staff so the number
of children in the program can be increased, allowing more children the opportunity
to participate in this specialized learning environment.
Cammi Awards
Funding for this program helps spread the message of healthy alternatives to drug
and alcohol use. Funds help sponsor the program, buy prizes for the winners, create
T-shirts, posters and other participation incentives.
Sub for Santa
The WHSF sponsors a Sub for Santa program in November and December, to collect needed
items including gifts, clothing, shoes, coats and gift cards, for children and families
in Weber and Morgan Counties. Families in need of help are identified by WHS social
workers and case workers.
Goldenwest Credit Union has been a major supporter of Sub for Santa in the last
few years. Between the efforts of Goldenwest and concerned community members, the
WHSF has been able to bless the lives of hundreds of struggling families over the
last few years.
Aging Services
The WHSF supports community Senior Centers, such as the Golden Hours Senior Center
in Ogden, Utah. At Golden Hours, the WHS Foundation donated equipment for the fitness
room, so seniors in our communities have access to equipment that can help them
build and maintain a healthy lifestyle as they age.
Tranquility House
The WHS Foundation supports the Tranquility House with financial contributions,
as well as through the donation of items needed within the facility. The WHS Foundation
Board also helped decorate and design “theme” rooms within the facility, to make
the rooms comfortable and accommodating for the women and children who live there.
